Hewlett is located on the South Shore of Long Island, about 15 minutes from JFK Airport. It is easily accessible by car, bus and the Long Island Railroad (LIRR).

Hewlett is home to Grant Park. It is a 35 acre park that features basketball, tennis and handball courts, baseball and soccer fields, paths for jogging and bicycles. It also has playgrounds for all ages. In the winter there is a skating rink, and in the other seasons there is fishing and bating on the lake.

Woodmere is located on the South Shore of Long Island, about 20 minutes from JFK Airport. It is easily accessible by car, bus and the Long Island Railroad (LIRR).  It is the largest community in the 5 Towns, covering 2.6 square miles, and is also the most populous with approx 16,000 residents. It is an unincorporated area in the Five Towns and is governed by the Town of Hempstead. The smaller southern portion of Woodmere, known as Woodsburgh, is an incorporated village. It has one of the highest median incomes on LI.

Recreation in Woodmere is limited. There is the private Woodmere Club and just a few miles away is North Woodmere Park,  a 150-acre town park. The park has 3 swimming pools, a 9-hole golf course, 10 tennis courts, 4 handball courts, 2 basketball courts, 3 picnic areas and a children's playground.

The Five Towns Senior Center, which opened in 1949, offers daily activities such as bridge, sculpting and square dancing as well as lectures that are frequently taught by college professors.

Woodmere is also home to our office located at 950 Broadway.

North Woodmere is located on the South Shore of Long Island, about 15 minutes from JFK Airport. Though there is no LIRR stop in North Woodmere the Gibson and Hewlett stations are approx 5 minutes away.

Part of North Woodmere is located in the Incorporated Village of Valley Stream. It is directly north of Woodmere, but separated from it by Mott's Creek.

The community is home to North Woodmere Park a 150-acre town park. The park has 3 swimming pools, a 9-hole golf course, 10 tennis courts, 4 handball courts, 2 basketball courts, 3 picnic areas and a  children's playground. Just south of the park is a fishing area on the west end of the inter-Woodmere creek.

A small shopping mall is located on Rosedale Road.

Another former shopping center on Hungry Harbor Road is now the Bristal, an assisted living center

East Rockaway, a small boating community in the southwest corner of Nassau County, is composed of a village and the unincorporated area of Bay Park.

East Rockaway also has shops, restaurants, houses of worship, a museum, recreation center, senior center, a recently expanded library and two railroad stations.

In the past half decade, the village has been working on a variety of projects, including waterfront revitalization. "We are big into making improvements to the infrastructure," said Dennis McCabe, village clerk-treasurer.

The downtown area by the Centre Avenue Long Island Rail Road station has new curbs, brick pathways, antique-style lighting and benches. Storefronts have new facades, and the parking fields at both train stations have been renovated. "It's been a long process, but we're coming to the homestretch," McCabe said.

The community's eclectic housing stock includes cottages (near the water), various ranch styles, capes, Colonials, split-levels and a smattering of contemporaries, Victorians and Tudors. New homes replacing razed ones are usually priced between $600,000 and $750,000.

•  I will not force a house or neighborhood on you . However, If a house is right for you, if you feel it, then I will try to nudge you a little. I hate when I hear agents say “What do you mean you don't like that house, it's perfect for you.”

•  I will tell you when I see the potential in a house at a great price . Just because it is something you might not pick up on.

•  I will keep you abreast of the market with Listingbook . Giving you full access to what is available to see. Then I will show you all the homes you want to see, not just the ones I think are right for you, or the ones with the highest commission

•  I will hold your hand as much as is needed, and answer all questions every step of the way. If I don't know the answer I will find someone who does. Our relationship will not be over once you sign the contract.

To me it's common sense, but I am amazed every time I hear a buyer say “So and So never returned my calls”. “Was never able to show me the house” etc.
